The method · Evidence-First GTM

We test hypotheses and change direction fluidly.

Evidence-First GTM is go-to-market run like a research program: informed priors, hypotheses with success and kill lines written before launch, parallel experiments, honest readouts, and playbooks your team owns. Bayesian in spirit, plain English in practice.

Why a method

Most go-to-market runs on opinion with a dashboard for decoration.

Channels live forever because someone loves them. Budgets move on the loudest voice in the room. And every quarter ends with a story instead of a readout. The fix is not more dashboards. It is deciding, before any launch, what success and failure look like, then honoring the answer. That is the whole method, and almost nobody runs it.

Five phases, run in a loop.

Phases advance on evidence, not on a calendar.

1

Observe

Baseline before belief. Where you actually stand, quantified against every competitor.

2

Hypothesize

Every move written as a bet with the terms set before launch.

3

Experiment

Parallel tests with honest windows and minimum effective budgets.

What wins gets written down, so the engine runs without us.

Four calls at every checkpoint.

Decades of experience. No outdated playbooks.

1

Scale

Clears its kill line by a wide margin. Move budget from the losers, write down what made it work, and press.

2

Continue

Lands near the line. Hold effort steady, extend the window, refine exactly one variable.

3

Adapt

Misses at the checkpoint. Change one thing, rerun a short window with a written pivot hypothesis.

4

Kill

Misses again after adapting. Stop, log the learning, and move the budget to what is working.
